A Love Story at the International Towing Museum
The International Towing & Recovery Museum is honored to have been part of a truly special moment as Brett and Jo McCann chose Chattanooga, and the museum, as the setting for their wedding.
Brett McCann is a respected leader in the towing and recovery industry and Owner/Director of Bozmac Towing Equipment, a specialized manufacturer based in Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia. With deep roots in the industry, Brett founded Bozmac with a clear purpose: to design and build innovative, high-quality equipment tailored to the real-world needs of towing professionals.
Under his leadership, Bozmac has grown into a trusted name across Australia and the South Pacific, known for producing tow truck bodies, heavy-duty recovery equipment, trailers, and accessories built to perform under the toughest conditions. Guided by the philosophy of “built by towing professionals for towing professionals,” Brett continues to drive innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration within the industry.
But behind the industry success is a story that is just as meaningful. Brett and Jo’s journey began years ago through a chance connection, and as Jo likes to joke, a little bit of “medical intervention.” While their paths first crossed at a cardiology practice where Jo worked, it was ultimately a mutual friend who brought them together.
Seven and a half years later, filled with travel and shared experiences, the two chose to elope in one of their favorite destinations, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Their wedding date, March 31st, holds special significance, as Brett has made it a tradition to celebrate every month with a 31st by sending Jo flowers and taking her to dinner, a gesture that reflects the consistency and care at the heart of their relationship.
We are honored that Brett and Jo chose the International Towing & Recovery Museum to be part of such a meaningful chapter in their story. Moments like these remind us that while the museum celebrates the history of the towing industry, it also serves as a place where new memories are created.
Looking Ahead
As the museum continues to grow, we are currently in the process of transforming our lower gallery into a dedicated event venue. This space will soon be available for weddings, receptions, and other special events, offering a unique setting that blends industry history with unforgettable experiences.
