Ricardo Arturo Hernandez

During the evening rush hour of June 7, 1999, Ricardo Hernandez was working with the Freeway Service Patrol changing a tire for a motorist. Ricardo had asked the vehicle owner to sit in the cab of his truck for safety reasons but as he worked, his own safety precautions were no match for a car whose driver sideswiped the disabled vehicle and his truck.

Ricardo was seriously injured in the collision and the motorist drove away without stopping. Ricardo was hospitalized and fought to live as he laid in ICU.  He passed away June 17 from his injuries leaving behind his wife and infant son. We respectfully add Ricardo Arturo Hernandez to our “Wall of the Fallen”.
