William G. Miller

William G. Miller founded Miller Industries, Inc. in 1990.  The same year he acquired Challenger Wrecker Manufacturing, Holmes International and Century Wrecker Corporation.  Champion Carrier Corporation was also formed in 1990 to emphasize tilt-bed car carriers.  In 1991, Miller Industries purchased the Eagle product line of American Wheellift Corporation.  In 1994, Miller Industries, Inc. became a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ stock market.  Miller Industries later acquired both the Vulcan and Chevron brands to expand their product offering.  Today the company is traded on the NYSE (Symbol “MLR”).  He is currently Chairman of the Board and Co-CEO of Miller Industries, Inc.
Mr. Miller is a former member in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and current member of the World Presidents Organization (WPO).  He has served as President of The United Way in Greenwood County, South Carolina.  Mr. Miller is a member of the Georgia Vietnam Veterans Association and a key supporter of the Roswell Vietnam War Memorial “Faces of War.”  In 1996, Mr. Miller was finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and also served as Deputy Mayor for the Olympic Village at the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Mr. Miller formed the Miller Family Foundation in 1996 through which he is a strong supporter of numerous charities and non-profit organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Sisken Children’s Institute, The Forgotten Child Fund, March of Dimes, Women of the Towing and Recovery Association of America (WTRAA) Scholarship Fund and the International Towing and Recovery Museum in Chattanooga.  In 2006, The Miller Family Foundation was the catalyst for the Wall of the Fallen, which was dedicated to the men and women who have lost their lives in the line of service within the towing and recovery industry.
Mr. Miller holds a BSE degree in industrial engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
