William Gratzianna

Hall of Fame Inductee #377
Downers Grove, IL, USA

William “Bill” Gratzianna built a legacy that combines family tradition, business excellence, and advocacy for the towing profession. A second-generation tower, he grew up working alongside his father, Jack Gratzianna, founder of O’Hare Truck Service. Along with his wife Marci Cooper—herself from a towing family—Bill helped grow O’Hare Towing into one of the nation’s most respected companies. His vision extended beyond business success; through the TV series Wrecked: Life in the Crash Lane, he brought public awareness to the dangers and professionalism of towing work.

Gratzianna’s leadership also reached the highest legal and organizational levels. His successful Supreme Court case, O’Hare Truck Service vs. City of Northlake, protected the rights of towing professionals across the country. As president of the International Towing & Recovery Museum, he guided initiatives that strengthened industry history and education. Deeply committed to community service, he has supported training for first responders and the annual Tow Trucks for Tots toy drive. A proud husband, father, and grandfather, Gratzianna exemplifies professionalism, family values, and dedication to both his community and industry.
