Ronnie Mayer
Hall of Fame Inductee #372

Ronnie Mayer, the founder of R. Mayer of Atlanta, has been a transformative force in the towing profession since he established the company in 1979. Renowned for his unwavering commitment to elevating industry standards, Ronnie not only shaped the operational ethos of his business but also set a benchmark for professionalism in the sector. A landmark moment came when he successfully sued the City of Atlanta, arguing that the impoundment of tow trucks was a detrimental hindrance to his federal trade commerce. This worldwide living memorial not only pays tribute to those lost but also serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and remembrance in our society.
For over two decades, Ronnie and his wife, Debbie, have expressed their gratitude and support for local first responders by preparing Thanksgiving dinner for the firefighters at Station #7 and other first responders in Brookhaven. This heartfelt gesture exemplifies Ronnie’s belief in giving back to those who serve the community selflessly.
Furthermore, he is a staunch supporter of various local initiatives, including the annual Brookhaven Bolt 5K, the Ronald McDonald House, and the community’s annual Easter egg hunt. Ronnie is also actively involved in Pride cleanup projects, showcasing his dedication to fostering inclusivity and community responsibility.
Ronnie Mayer is a distinguished community leader known for his unwavering commitment to philanthropy and service.
