Phil Howard
In 1971, Phil’s father Billy opened a full-service gasoline station in Smyrna, GA. As the business grew, Billy felt the need to expand and purchased a tow truck to transport vehicles to the service station for repairs. This was the beginning of Howard’s Wrecker Service. In 1985, Billy passed away and Phil became President and Manager of the company now called Howard and Son’s Automotive Services, Inc. Since then, Phil has been active in the towing industry and in his community. Phil has served on the board of TRAG for over 25 years, teaching AMV seminars, writing and editing, printing, and posting the TRAG newsletter for all members. Phil works alongside law enforcement on many levels, supporting the Cobb County Safety Village and the CCPO National Night Out. Phil holds many certifications including WreckMaster, ASE Body Repair Shop, and TIMS.
