As the founder of Jige International, Europe’s largest towing equipment manufacturer, Georges has left an indelible mark on the sector. His innovative spirit and leadership have not only revolutionized the industry but also earned him international recognition.

*Georges’ illustrious career is marked by a string of pioneering achievements. He invented the slide back platform and Z booms, which transformed the towing equipment landscape. In 1978, he launched the heavy multi-section telescopic stinger for trucks and bus grid, a game-changing innovation that combined platform rear under-lift and crane jobs. His hinged approach plate beaver tail for platform further solidified his position as a trailblazer in the industry.

Georges’ commitment to innovation is evident in his development of hydraulic stinger hollow tube feeding, which eliminated vulnerable external hydraulic hoses. This invention not only improved the safety and efficiency of towing operations but also cemented his reputation as a visionary. The debut of the first Mid City on 4×4 BJ 40 Toyota for underground recovery jobs in Paris impounds in 1982 was another milestone in his illustrious career.

Under Georges’ leadership, Jige International has given birth to several worldwide brands, including Mega City, Eurotow, Mid City, Simplex, and Solomatic. These brands have become synonymous with excellence and reliability, reflecting Georges’ dedication to quality and innovation.

Georges’ leadership extends beyond the business world. As the President of the 6th Calvary History Group, he has been instrumental in honoring veterans who fought to liberate France during World War II. His tireless efforts have earned him recognition from the U.S. Army, which has awarded him a special citation as an honorary major in the 6th Cavalry division. This distinction is a testament to Georges’ commitment to preserving history and recognizing the sacrifices of those who have served.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
