Geoffrey Russell’s five-decade career represents leadership, mentorship, and innovation in towing and specialized transportation. Beginning in 1974 as an operator at Provincial Towing, he steadily advanced through every level of the industry—from sales at Vulcan Equipment and Century to executive leadership roles and business ownership. As co-founder and CEO of Guardian Fleet Services, now the largest towing and transportation company in the United States, Russell has set new standards for scale, professionalism, and safety.
Beyond business success, Russell is celebrated for his generosity and dedication to others. A mentor to countless professionals, he has personally traveled to assist towers across the country and played key roles in associations such as TRAA, the Sunshine State Towing Association, and the International Towing & Recovery Museum. His community service and advocacy for safety and public education have strengthened industry relationships with law enforcement and the public alike. Recognized with numerous awards, including the Tow Times Lifetime Achievement Award, Russell continues to guide and inspire the next generation of towing professionals.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation
Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.
Exemplary Dedication
Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.
Industry Leadership
Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.
Professional Achievement
Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
