Floyd Bud Pinickney
Bud Pinckney with his big fleet of yellow and red trucks, accompanied by his family, has been a fixture for many years in the midwest. Michigan is one of the states with regulation and Bud has been a stalwart in the state association, serving in every officership, including Show-Chairmanship. When the effort was made in 1975 to form an international association, Bud was there. to cooperate. When the call went out for an organizational meeting on August 29, 1977 to create T.R.A.A., Bud was there.
Recently, Bud has taken the awkward steps of turning over to his sons management and ownership of the substantial company bearing his name, yet he is available for consultation when the new owners call for help. Bud Pinckney is one of the pioneers who built substantial professional companies as the industry emerged following World War II. Bud’s Wrecker Service, Inc. of Grand Rapids is a name to be proud of.
