Murry Rude

Any industry member in the great northeast will tell you that Murray Rude knows the business and is a skilled operator. He first operated a tow truck at age 13, in the lot, of course, but by then he had been around, and involved in, his father’s business. As the years passed he became a major factor in the family activity but later severed those affiliations and went on his own. With only two vehicles to start, he has built a respectable fleet of modern equipment which he admittedly knows how to use.

Murray is famous for the difficult tasks he has undertaken, like freedom to use the turnpikes with a car on the hook. He helped form the Interstate Towing Association, and he is always there for the meetings. There are many pioneers of the industry who fought and fought for years for what they thought was right. Some were obscure in their approach; others were more flamboyant. Murray is one of
the more flamboyant, but acknowledged to be sincere, and admired for his dedication.
