Larry G. Cernosek was born in 1953 in Houston, Texas.  He has been married to his wife Linda for 22 years.  Together they have three children, Josh 27, Lance and Leah age 10.  The two boys, Josh and Lance, are already becoming involved in the family business and with Josh working the office and Lance telling employees how he will become their boss one day.  Larry and his family have lived in Deer Park, Texas for the past 19 years.             Larry entered the towing and recovery industry in Houston in 1975, moving his business to Deer Park in 1981, where he expanded into an automotive paint and body shop.
As a business and community leader, Larry Cernosek recently completed three, 2 year terms as Chairman of the Texas Towing and Storage Association.  He is also a member and past president of the Texas Motor Transportation Association where he also served as Legislative Director.  Larry is a member of both Deer Park and Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Chairman’s Club in charge of membership in Deer Park.  The Gulf Coast Regional Chamber of Commerce has recognized Larry Cernosek for his accomplishments in membership growth over the years.  Larry serves on the Community Council at Carpenter Elementary and is also a member of the Community Advisory Council of Deer Park.  He is a member of the Business Development Board at Sterling Bank and also serves as Treasurer of Rose, a non-profit breast cancer screening, diagnosis and education organization.  Larry is Treasurer of the North Pasadena Community Outreach Organization, a non-profit organization administering educational, health and after-school programs to the community of North Pasadena.  Larry Cernosek received the 1994 Outstanding Citizen of the Year award from Deer Park Chamber of Commerce and in March of this year he was awarded the Community Builder Award from the Deer Park Masonic Lodge.  In 1999, Lt. Governor Rick Perry appointed Larry to the Small Business Council of Texas.  Active in his church and community, Larry Cernosek has truly earned his place in the Hall of Fame.

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
