Gary W. Rouse

Born May 19, 1953 in Grand Island, Nebraska and married Sharon Kiburz 1972.  Together they have raised three children, Holli Huhman, Heidi Tennant and Heath Rouse, all of who are currently involved in the family business.
Gary entered the towing and recovery industry in October 1978 with the purchase of a small tow truck to be used in connection with an automotive service facility founded by Gary and his wife.  Over the years they have grown the business into a fleet of light, medium and heavy duty vehicles and specialize in towing, recovery, transportation and storage.  During this time each of the three children have become involved in the family business in various capacities.
Gary believes in excellence through training, which he has extended to his own organization and others.  He is a member of the Professional Towers Association of Nebraska, Nebraska Trucking Association, American Trucking Association, South Dakota Professional Towers, TRAA and Friends of Towing.  He has served as President of the Professional Towers of Nebraska, Western Vice President of the Professional Towers of Nebraska and is currently the State Board Representative of Nebraska for Towing and Recovery.
On a local level, Gary is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business and an honorary member of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department in recognition of his years he devoted to training other volunteers in recovery and extrication.  As an active member in the Lutheran Church, the American Legion and Western Wranglers Saddle Club, Gary serves his community in a variety of ways that support his induction into the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
