Although single today, Bob Swaney has two children by a former marriage, adult daughters Sharry and Charlotte who are also in the family business with their dad. Having been in the towing and recovery industry for 21 years, Bob has become very involved with local, state and national affairs. Locally, he has been recognized by the Lions Club, DARE, several fire departments and the Chamber of Commerce for his many contributions of time and talent to civic affairs. At the state level he has served as a board member, treasurer and is currently serving as President for the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Colorado. Through the TRPC he was instrumental in organizing the Widows & Orphans Relief Fund and has also promoted numerous driver training and safety programs throughout Colorado. Bob Swaney has sat on various committees with the Public Utilities Commission promoting cooperation between towers and state government. He stays abreast of current legislation at the statehouse and willingly serves as a liaison on behalf of the President of TRPC with the membership on legislative affairs. Nationally, Bob serves on the Board of State Directors for TRAA and is active in the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum in several key areas, especially fund raising and membership.
Bob is always ready to lend a hand, whether it be to offer informed advice, assist with a project, or advise towers on a variety of industry related topics. He is especially interested in training and changing trends in the industry. Bob has organized the TRPC Rocky Mountain Regional Tow Show for several years and is always willing to contribute his time to TRPC’s membership drives, fund raising events, meetings throughout the state and the association newsletter. Bob is a “can-do, will-do” type of guy who works tirelessly for our industry.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation
Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.
Exemplary Dedication
Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.
Industry Leadership
Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.
Professional Achievement
Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
