John Giroux

John was born in Welland, Ontario, Canada on October 14, 1963.  He received his Bachelors of Arts of Political Science at Brock University with the intention of pursuing a career in the civil service.  It was during this time that he met his wife, Helene Lapalme.  Together they have four children and one grandson.
After graduating from the University, John accepted a part time position through a local temp agency as a dispatcher with Canadian Tire Auto Club.  Within a few months he was offered a full time position and was quickly promoted out of dispatch.  John became the organization’s first Contractor Network Representative.  He was able to build the Canadian Tire Financial Services towing contractor network to become one of the largest in Canada.  John spent approximately 5 years in the field prior to being promoted to Operations Manager.  In this capacity, John manages the contractor network and has also assumed Account Manager responsibilities for the organizations OEM partners, which include GM and VW.  It is in this role that John has been able to elevate the towing industry by educating the corporate clients on the importance and necessity of the towing contractor profession.
John holds memberships with five towing associations throughout Canada, TRAA and the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum.
John is very involved with his children’s activities to include soccer and dance clubs.  He is also very active with company sponsored events.
