Francis Coady is a highly respected and accomplished professional with a passion for his work that is evident in his motto: “Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” With a career spanning decades, Francis has consistently demonstrated his commitment to serving others, whether through his work or his volunteer efforts.

Francis’s dedication to helping others was evident as early as May 1978, when he donated his time and equipment to assist in clearing wreckage from a devastating mid-air plane crash. This selfless act set the tone for a lifetime of service and volunteer work.

Francis’s professional career has been marked by numerous achievements and recognitions. In April 2013, he was called upon by the Massachusetts State Police to assist with preserving and transporting the boat where the Boston Marathon bomber hid. This high-profile case was a testament to Francis’s expertise and professionalism.

In September 2018, Francis played a crucial role in assisting the communities of Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover in the aftermath of a gas line explosion that forced evacuations and left many without homes. He worked tirelessly to move vehicles to safety and relocate RVs to serve as temporary housing for those displaced.

Francis’s dedication to his work has not gone unnoticed. In 2018, he received the Perseverance Award from the US House of Representatives, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his profession. In 2000, he was honored with the War on Drugs Distinguished Service Award from the DEA of the US Department of Justice and the Massachusetts State Police.

Francis is a member of several professional organizations, including:

  • Towing and Recovery Association of America
  • ITRHF (International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame)
  • Federal Express Emergency Response Team

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
