Authors history books about the towing industry

Bruce Jackson is a walking history lesson for the towing and recovery industry, having participated in many industry historic moments: He introduced Holmes wreckers to France and later the NRC sliding Rotator to the U.K. and France, helped demonstrate and later instruct on airbag usage in the U.S. including helping with the first public lift of a loaded tanker using air cushions and now authors books detailing some of this history. Bruce has been a part of the towing and recovery industry – both in the U.S., Canada and U.K., for over 56 years.

  • Introduced Holmes Wreckers into France 1972
  • Helped introduce Air Cushions into U.S. Market 1975
  • Made first public lift using air cushions in U.S. of a loaded tanker 1976
  • Helped introduce the NRC sliding rotator into the U.K. and French markets

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
