Hotel Information

To help families attending the Wall of the Fallen Name Unveiling Ceremony, the International Towing Museum has arranged a special discounted block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in downtown Chattanooga. This hotel will also serve as a convenient shuttle stop to and from the Towing Museum.

Shuttle Information:
The shuttle will run Friday, October 10 from 9 am – 5 pm and Saturday, October 11 from 8 am – 4 pm. A “Shuttle Stop” sign will indicate pick-up/drop-off point. The shuttle will stop at the Towing Museum and the Chattanooga Convention Center for the Tennessee Tow Show.

What to Expect at the Wall of the Fallen Ceremony

  • The ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 11th with ceremonies beginning at 10am EST.
  • The ceremony is held at the Towing Museum at 3315 Broad Street in Chattanooga, 37408
  • The ceremony will be held rain or shine.
  • The weather in September can be warm or chilly. Be prepared for both.
  • There is no dress code for the ceremony. Come as you are comfortable.
  • It can be crowded. If possible, try to take the shuttle from the Convention Center over to the Museum it will be running throughout the weekend.
  • Seating is on first come, first seated basis. You may hold chairs for your family group.
  • There is a family tent where you will sign in and receive a bag of items for the ceremony.
  • There is one bag per family available and one presentation certificate. If you need an additional certificate, please let us know in advance.
  • Balloons will be available to write a message on to your loved one and will be released when your family group is called to the front.
  • Only 4 family members should go to the front when your loved one’s name is called. Small children may go forward with their parent in that group.
  • All others in your group may stand in place or remain seated when the honoree’s name is called.
  • There will be light refreshments after the ceremony for family and friends of our fallen.
  • The ceremony usually lasts around 2 hours.
  • The museum and gift shop will be open before and after the ceremony.
  • Admission to the museum is free to all throughout the day.
