James Milton Creel

James Creel was called upon to tow a disabled tractor-trailer and its load of monster truck gear to a racetrack for an event. As James and his passenger approached the destination, they attempted to cross railroad tracks on the only road into the speedway. The tracks had no lights, horns, or crossbars. As the men crossed the tracks, an Amtrack train approached. There was limited visibility to see the train before it was too late, and the men were unable to clear the tracks. The train hit the heavy wrecker and killed James and his passenger. James leaves behind a wife and three children.
