Ernest Linden Dean

On August 25, 1945, Ernest Dean was working with some other gentlemen to repair inoperable folding landing legs on a flatbed trailer loaded with 24,000 pounds of beer kegs.  Ernest lifted the collapsed trailer with hos wrecker and stabilized it with a shop jack on one side and a keg on the other.

As Ernest worked to free the loaded landing legs, the makeshift jack collapsed and Ernest died immediately as the heavy trailer fell on him.
