Currently employed as the Senior Director of Vendor Relations at FleetNet America based in Cherryville North Carolina James has been involved in the trucking, customer service, and road service industry for over 20 years.

Over the past several years it has been James mission to promote better working relationships between the trucking industry and the towing industry nationwide. As a member of the American Trucking Association and serving on their Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) as a member of their Highway Safety and Incident Management sub-group James has attended meetings across the country reaching out the olive branch to both sides, in an effort to better the image of the towing industry as a whole. It is his firm belief that building relationships based on trust and respect is the cornerstone to success in life.

James has actively been involved with towing association’s nationwide attending meetings on Incident Management and is an active member of TRAA’s Towing Incident Management Committee and has written articles for numerous trade publications expressing the importance of selecting qualified professional towers as a vendor of choice.

In 2009 James was awarded the Towing and Recovery Association of Americas National Citizenship Award for his efforts in brokering better relationships between the towing and trucking industry.

Residing with his wife Pam and his 3 children in Gastonia North Carolina James intends to continue fostering professionalism and relationships between Towers and Truckers and to educate the trucking community on the challenges professional towers face in a day to day atmosphere, so they can understand the costs associated with the services provided.

Tow Equipment/Product Innovation

Innovation of a product sold in the marketplace that has helped move the industry forward. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of service to the industry.

Exemplary Dedication

Candidate must have 20 years running a towing business in an outstanding and exemplary manner, promoting a positive image of the towing industry and have positive relations with the community, i.e., performing services for the community about and beyond the services for hire. Limit: One inductee per year.

Industry Leadership

Leadership involved with an outstanding project that has had a dynamic and lasting effect on the towing industry. Candidate must have minimum 10 years service to the towing industry.

Professional Achievement

Creating a product or service of any kind that has had a significant and lasting effect on thousands of towing professionals. Candidate Must have a minimum of 10 years to the industry.
