Bruce Davis
For over 40 years, Bruce has selflessly served his community and the towing profession. Bruce is the owner of Davis Towing and Recovery, he regularly donates his time and equipment to transport his region’s disabled emergency vehicles. Bruce supports local events and students and teaches welding to 4H participants. He teaches classes and lends the use of his equipment, money, and manpower to other industry professionals. A true innovator, he has built his own wreckers, constructed a custom boat for water recoveries, and pioneered the use of spring tie-backs and “bus forks,” now used by other industry professionals.
His work ethic and generosity have won him the confidence and passionate support of his community.
Bruce bought the company from his dad, Bob Davis, also a towing expert, and has invested 35 years in the industry. He is respected by his peers,
competitors, and community. He is considered an asset to the towing community in central and southeast Indiana.
Bruces’ accomplishments include building towing equipment for himself and other towing companies and using his wreckers in the Indianapolis 500. He has invented equipment used for
water recoveries and also to tow large charter buses, a device that is now standard in the towing field. He has recovered every type of vehicle, from boats, helicopters, and planes to trains, cars, trucks, and more. Despite competition among towing companies, Bruce has been a mentor to many, offering professional advice and hosting classes to help other towing operators gain knowledge and experience.
