CHARACTER BACKGROUND

Background: Axl grew up as Alex in a family of first responders, with his mother a firefighter, his father serving as a towing operator and his older brother as a paramedic. He witnessed firsthand the dedication and bravery it took to save lives, often under dangerous conditions. Tragically, his father was killed by a speeding motorist while attending to an accident on the roadside. This heartbreaking loss fueled Alex’s determination to make a difference and protect those who risk their lives serving others.

Transformation: While attending a memorial service for fallen first responders, Alex encountered a retired roadside hero who gave him an ancient citrine amulet, believed to hold the power of protection. Upon accepting the stone, Alex was filled with extraordinary abilities. He could now sense impending danger, communicate directly with drivers and responders, and foresee potential accidents. Embracing his new powers, Alex took on the persona of “Axl,” dedicating himself to the mission of protecting responders on the roadside.

Primary Mission: Axl’s primary mission is to protect responders from being hurt or killed by motorists who do not slow down and move over. He aims to raise awareness and promote legislation that ensures the safety of these brave individuals.

Objectives:

1. Awareness Campaigns: Launch nationwide campaigns to educate the public about the importance of slowing down and moving over for first responders. Use social media, public service announcements, and community events to spread the message.

2. Legislation Advocacy: Advocate for stronger “Move Over” laws and stricter enforcement. Work with lawmakers to ensure that penalties for violating these laws are significant enough to deter dangerous behavior.

3. Driver Education: Integrate road safety and “Move Over” education into driver’s education programs. Ensure that all new drivers understand the importance of these laws and the devastating consequences of failing to follow them.

4. Community Engagement: Collaborate with local communities to create support networks for responders and their families. Organize events to honor fallen heroes and support those who continue to serve.
